Senior Application Specialist

• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key accounts, encouraging confidence in NI's platform.
• Understand customer technical requirements and recommend the appropriate software & hardware solutions.
• Collaborate with account teams, taking the lead on technical strategies for the accounts.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying and addressing future customer technical needs.
• Act as the voice of the customer, influencing NI’s technical direction and product development. 

• Passionate about solving sophisticated technical problems towards customer-centric approach.
• Excel in a fast-paced setting and accept new opportunities.
• Strong ability to communicate sophisticated technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Self-motivated, a quick learner, and have a strong desire to grow in a customer-facing engineering role. 

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or math).
• A minimum of 8+ years of work experience in test and measurement industry.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in the aerospace and defense industries, especially in a customer-handling role.
• Experience collaborating closely with sales teams and communicating technical information to customers.
• Proven knowledge of automated test software and hardware platforms.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with proficiency in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel within India (~50%) and occasionally to APAC and the US (~5%). 

• A background in electronics and communication or mechatronics or automotive engineering.
• Hands-on experience with RF fundamentals and measurements.
• Proficiency in software tools such as NI LabVIEW, .NET, Python, C++, and software design patterns.
• Certifications in NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand development patterns.
• Experience in FPGA programming and fixed-point algorithm development.
