About the role

We are growing rapidly - that means our infrastructure needs to support that rapid growth so that we are able to provide our customers an experience that is 10x better than anything that is available / possible in the market. Our infrastructure is complex, so if you are looking for a steep learning curve, then this is for you. We use advanced networking, storage and compute systems but we now need to go further and faster.

To support the above growth,

Working with the founding engineers, you will take ownership of our cloud infrastructure in AWS
As an early hire, you will have considerable autonomy to shape our infra and influence architectural decisions
You will build for performance, stability and scalability
You will use Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, New Relic, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana in your day to day
You will find ways to standardise our infrastructure and make release pipelines faster
You will build alerting and monitoring workflows so that engineering and product can run their operations efficiently
You will use Terraform, Python, Go

What we’re looking for

This job will be a great fit if you...

Are not a Senior "Something Something" with 10 years of experience in "Rah Rah", 2-3yrs experience is fine
Have a hacker mindset, love figuring things out, digging deeper and deeper into unfamiliar code bases until it finally clicks and you understand how it works
Have a very strong experience with AWS and Terraform
Have work in live production environment
Have gone through the entire lifecycle of managing at least one major technical incident in your career so far
Can manage your own work and take ownership without oversight
Can communicate technical concepts with ease
