Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED, a certified trade apprenticeship program, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Ongoing industry training is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in relevant trades, 3–6 years in a similar position, or proven successful project execution is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% is required.
  • Ability to work between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with schedules varying according to customer demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison to clients, inspectors, and other visitors.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company and industry standards and procedures.
  • Comply with legal regulations and obtain all required inspections.
  • Manage and coordinate work so it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner consistent with the contractual standard of care and quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules with all parties to meet project milestones and overall completion dates.
  • Understand construction documents and specifications for assigned projects, including all subcontractors’ scopes of work.
  • Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure that scope, terms, and conditions are met.
  • Manage project-scope changes and ensure that current contract documents are used to prevent avoidable rework.
  • Ensure that no agreement or project-scope changes proceed without authorization from project leadership.
  • Maintain, track, verify, and update project files and paperwork, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, as-built drawings, submittal verification and shop drawings, requests for information, layout, and project correspondence.
  • Manage or support project closeout, including punch lists, startup, and commissioning of systems.
  • Meet the construction budget by monitoring project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Achieve construction project results by defining project purpose and scope, calculating required resources, establishing standards and protocols, allocating resources, scheduling and coordinating staff and subcontractors, evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions, resolving design problems, and evaluating and implementing changes.
  • Support all areas of the company’s business interests.
  • Support pre-construction efforts involving overall budgeting and project-execution strategy.
  • Work on multiple projects depending on each project’s size, complexity, and phase.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
