Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 3 years of dedicated academic or industry research experience focused on world models, generative dynamics, self-supervised learning, or physical reasoning for autonomous systems.
  • At least 2 years of industrial research and development experience creating, fine-tuning, and deploying large-scale machine learning models and safety-critical algorithms into production or testing environments.
  • Hands-on engineering proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic research and engineering initiatives in artificial intelligence safety, alignment, and model reliability, applying the work to advanced driver-assistance system feature releases and autonomous systems.
  • Advance generative world models, simulation frameworks, and physical reasoning techniques to evaluate complex driving edge cases and validate system behavior.
  • Collaborate with global research and development teams to transfer safety frameworks and machine learning algorithms into operational platforms and production pipelines.
  • Implement safety validation, out-of-distribution detection, failure mode analysis, and uncertainty estimation methods for robust platform integration.
  • Monitor developments in foundation models and safety alignment, represent the organization at top-tier conferences, and publish research.
  • Provide expert technical counsel to senior leadership on strategic research and development roadmaps, investment decisions, and patent portfolio growth in trustworthy artificial intelligence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Deep theoretical and practical expertise in artificial intelligence safety techniques, including alignment, adversarial robustness, interpretability, failure mode analysis, and uncertainty quantification.
  • Strong low-level engineering experience with C++ and high-performance distributed training pipelines for system integration.
  • A proven record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier machine learning or robotics venues, including NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, or ICRA.
  • Experience generating intellectual property and securing patent contributions in trustworthy artificial intelligence or autonomous systems.
