Job Description
The Growth MBA Intern will have the opportunity to showcase their strategic mindset by supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and gaining exposure to several of our growth functions such as Emerging Brands, Innovation and Project Management. As a Growth intern, you will be responsible for delivering key business projects that will impact our business and have responsibilities similar to that of a full-time Associate Brand Manager. You will conduct fact-based and data-driven research to develop business cases and strategic options based on industry insights, competitor developments, internal capabilities, and financials. At the end of the internship, you will have the opportunity to present your recommendation to an executive audience to influence our long-term growth plans and priorities. Within Emerging Brands, you will be responsible for supporting strategic/brand planning, portfolio-wide innovation/renovation and brand activation initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This internship will allow for an opportunity to not only support our division-specific initiatives (Beer, Wine & Spirits) but will also allow for exposure to our long-term vision that encompasses our enterprise-wide mindset. Over the course of the 10-week internship, you will complete a strategic project that will give you exposure to several of our Growth functions. Specific focus areas and responsibilities will be outlined closer to the start of the internship, but may include some of the following:
Responsibilities
- Supporting the brand strategy and early marketing & commercialization activities for one or more of our Emerging Brands within the Constellation portfolio
- Participate in the development and execution of portfolio-wide innovation efforts to deliver against brand / business goals
- Assist in development and execution of in-market activation efforts for Emerging Brands, including but not limited to: organic & paid social, influencers, POS, sampling activations, experiential & sponsorships
- Develop go-to-market playbook on an area of our marketing model based on learnings to date
- Partner with Insights to analyze in-market research efforts and determine key takeaways and optimization areas by brand
- Collaborate with Brand, Analytics, Insights & Sales teams to aid in monthly brand performance reporting and optimization discussions
- Monitor competitors’ successes and shortcomings, utilizing competitive, category, consumer, shopper, and retailer insights to develop a competitive audit featuring best-in-class examples and relevant takeaways for Emerging Brands
- Participate in brand activation and market visits
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Degree preferably in Business
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program, having completed the first year, or recently graduated with an MBA within one (1) year of internship completion
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship for employment
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in strategic and/or marketing roles
- Strategic and analytical thinker, with the ability to look into the details and interpret the impact of key industry drivers. Superior problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong business acumen, coupled with strategic analysis experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences and producing high-quality deliverables in order to drive business decisions. Confident and able to be influential and assertive.
- Startup mentality - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to break down complex problems into manageable goals.
- Consumer obsession - constantly thinks about consumer behavior, experiences, and needs; genuine curiosity to understand why a consumer behaves the way they do and what drives their behavior.
- High level of integrity and professional judgment
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong sense of business ownership
- Excellent storytelling, impact, influence, spoken and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive management

- Ability to work with agility and urgency, utilizing agile ways of working
Physical Requirements/Other
- Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Primary work environment is within a corporate office setting.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
The salary range for this role is:
$23.00 - $38.00 per hour
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
