Requirements
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Active Qualified Medication Aide certification.
  • Successful completion of a state-approved medication administration training program.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • A criminal history background check conforming to the Health Care Worker Background Check Act will be conducted.
Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with preparing and administering physician-ordered medications.
  • Observe residents' functioning, maintain written records of observations, and report changes.
  • Provide personal care services and assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
  • Answer medical alert calls promptly and politely.
  • Attend initial training, in-service training sessions, and staff conferences upon request.
