Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Federal 5C clearance, provide required fingerprints, and obtain a PIV-I card.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must have resided in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
  • Must provide information required for the government security clearance process, including 7 years of previous work experience, previous addresses, and verifier contact information.
  • Must not be delinquent or in default on federal debt.
  • Must have internet speed of at least 25 Mbps when working virtually or from home.
  • Must use a hardwired Ethernet internet connection rather than Wi-Fi.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of the student loan industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Listening and reading comprehension.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers about their accounts through inbound and outbound phone calls, email, chat, and text as assigned.
  • Use basic mathematics and personal computer skills to track, troubleshoot, and accurately update customer account information.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of sensitive information.
  • Work with customers across multiple platforms simultaneously to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate options available to customers using the internal knowledge base, standard processes, and published materials, or escalate issues to appropriate levels as needed.
  • Resolve customer needs by taking ownership and de-escalating calls or contacts.
  • Research customer inquiries and provide resolutions in accordance with established laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement.
  • Educate borrowers about their student loans, including interest rates and credit reporting.

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience and/or general office experience.
  • Experience in retail or other customer-facing positions requiring a high degree of customer experience.

Omaha's Grapple raises $1M to make data analytics accessible for nontechnical users

Omaha-based Grapple has raised $1 million in a pre-seed round led by Invest Nebraska and Nelnet, with participation from MOVE Venture Capital and Nebraska Angels. The startup develops an AI-powered platform that makes data analytics accessible to nontechnical users without requiring data engineering expertise. Founded in 2025 by Jack Sellwood, Grapple's software pulls information from various sources including databases, spreadsheets and apps like Salesforce and Quickbooks. The platform enables sales, marketing and finance teams to compile reports independently, saving businesses time and money. Grapple was recently accepted into California's LAUNCH Accelerator and has secured early customers including Nebraska startups Guardify and Workshop. The company will use the funding to expand its team, marketing efforts and go-to-market strategy whilst remaining based in Omaha.
