We are currently seeking a General Ledger Supervisor, to join our team based in Houston, TX.

About the role:

 The General Ledger Supervisor is responsible for supervising all facets of the General Ledger process for the Houston Operating Center.  This supervisor will report to the Manager of Accounting.  The General Ledger Supervisor will interact significantly with the local accounting team as well as the Global Business Services team. 

Job Responsibilities:

 Handling various aspects of intercompany transactions, including review of the intercompany schedules and supporting documents on a quarterly basis and ensuring transactions are properly recorded

• Review fixed assets activities and ensure compliance with Technip Energies processes 
• Actively supporting the accounting cycles and general ledger processes for Houston Operating Center 
• Directly and indirectly supervise activities as needed
• Reporting quarterly results into HFM
• Preparing analysis files for fluctuations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Reviewing reconciliations and journal entries
• Developing and training accounting staff
• Abiding by internal controls, ensuring compliance with guidelines and procedures
• Capable of working independently on assignments involving complex issues without direct supervision
• Perform special projects and other duties as necessary    
• Drives process improvement efforts and supporting automation initiatives

About you:

 We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: 

 Required

• 8+ years of experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with an accounting major
• Demonstrates strong background in both accounting including experience with intercompany, fixed assets, month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, fluctuations review, internal reporting and internal controls
• Strong attention to detail and application of problem solving skills
• Experience with evaluating and improving business processes.
• Demonstrates high level of initiative, commitment and is a self-starter
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, and often conflicting priorities
• The candidate must be able to interact with all levels of staff from multiple departments, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be attentive to detail and possess a flexible collaborative work style

Preferred

• Previous supervisory experience
• Experience in the energy services sector
• Experience with system implementation and migration
• HFM and Oracle experience
