Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable engineering or applied science degree is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in roadway design is required.
  • At least 2 years of progressive project management experience is required.
  • A Texas Professional Engineering license is required, or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months.
  • Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design are required.
  • Experience with MicroStation and Open Roads/Open Roads Designer is required.
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of projects by managing client communication, deadlines, deliverables, budgets, and quality from project start to finish.
  • Guide and train junior engineers.
  • Assist with business development activities to expand the transportation practice and win new projects.
  • Lead the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, and reports for clients.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to ensure client satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working on or with the Texas Department of Transportation and understanding its design requirements and/or LGPP projects.
  • Experience with client communication and reporting, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development, project scheduling, and activity tracking.
