Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-2 years of related experience in regulated industry for Associate Regulatory Analyst
  • Three or more years of related experience in regulated industry for Regulatory Analyst
  • Five or more years of related experience in a regulated industry for Sr Regulatory Analyst
  • Knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulatory requirements and processes involving the preparation of certificate filings and reports.
  • Knowledge of interstate pipeline tariffs and their system operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently; must have excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and coordinates the timely and accurate preparation of all certificate filings.
  • Maintains regulatory records system and transmittal and distribution of regulatory filings.
  • Notifies management of the implications of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission proposals or actions related to construction or operation of facilities.
  • Develops strategies to negotiate and resolve issues with shippers, state commissions, marketers, brokers, end users and producers.
  • Reviews rate-related schedules and environmental exhibits included in certificate applications.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate contacts with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission staff.
  • Provides technical input to assist in development of project planning.
  • Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
