  • Experience requirements are three to five years of creating bilingual content, translating English to Spanish content, working as a translator or interpreter, or similar experience to show expertise in this field.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and grammatical skills are a must.

  • A translator certification such as the American Translators Certification (ATA) is preferred unless superseded by valid experience working in a bilingual environment.
Responsibilities
  • Specific tasks include translating written material in the form of articles, web and social content, video captions, and education materials; translating speech at events or stakeholder engagements with a Spanish-speaking audience; and collaborating with the education coordinator and public affairs staff on original bilingual content.
  • One-third of billable hours are expected to focus on general education and existing content with two-thirds being focused on new Mint programs.
