Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- A Washington State Registered Nurse license is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Intensive Care Unit and Telemetry patients.
- Promote continuity of care for patients on the unit.
- Provide direct patient care and supervise care given by Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Aides, and other support staff.
- Interpret appropriate patient information to identify age-specific care requirements.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- Support and promote a positive image of professional nursing and Olympic Medical Center.
- Work with patients under a variety of circumstances, including occasionally irregular hours.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
