As a Claims Advocate II, Process & Strategy, you will work closely with insurance carriers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to implement preferred processes and successful strategies. This role will be a part of the US&C Claims team within Global Insurance and work with front-line leadership and adjuster levels of our claim handling partners, ensuring effective implementation and sustainable improvements.

What You’ll Do
Consulting and Advisory: Provide expert consultation to external insurance partners on the best practices for commercial auto claims handling with a focus on bodily injury claims.
Process Implementation: Develop and implement preferred process for claims management, ensuring alignment with industry standards and Uber needs.
Strategic Planning: Design and execute strategic plans to enhance claims operations, utilizing data-driven insights and claims management behavioral expertise
Complex Issue Resolution: Advise on the resolution of complex coverage issues and litigation management, helping clients navigate and mitigate risks
Data Analysis and Recommendations: Use data analytics to identify trends, inform recommendations and implement solutions that improve claims outcomes
Documentation and Training: Document processes and provide training to claim handling partner teams, ensuring successful adoption and adherence to new procedures
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external insurance partner stakeholders to understand Uber needs, tailor solutions, and maintain retention of talent through satisfaction with consulting services as well as improved results. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal, First Notice of Loss experience, Risk and Safety teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial auto claim handling with experience handling bodily injury claims, including high policy limits and complex coverage issues
- Proven experience in managing litigation related to commercial Auto claims
- A minimum of 3 years of frontline leadership experience in bodily injury, specifically managing UM/UIM claims for a commercial auto team, with at least 2 years leading leaders within a commercial auto team in a third-party administrator or insurance carrier setting.
- Experience managing claims processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to document processes and make actionable recommendations for improvement
- Experience in successful strategic design and implementation using data-driven insights and claims management behavioral expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or a related field
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
- Claims designation obtained or in progress
- 6+ years in commercial auto claim handling with experience handling bodily injury claims, including high policy limits and complex coverage issues
- 3 years of experience leading leaders in a commercial auto team
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- Ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- High degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs
- Ability to serve as an insurance and claims subject matter expert
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$128,000 per year - USD$142,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year - USD$157,500 per year.
For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$126,000 per year.
