Zigglebee's InfoMate wristband launches on Walmart.com in new Guardian Tech category

Zigglebee's InfoMate wearable emergency-preparedness wristband is now available on Walmart.com as part of Walmart's new Guardian Tech category. Founder Shari Bailey created the product after her daughter Laila, who has autism and developmental disabilities, wandered from home. The water-resistant, battery-free wristband features a QR code that, when scanned, alerts caregivers with real-time location data whilst sharing emergency information. Available in two styles and seven colours, InfoMate requires a £12 monthly subscription for access to its software platform and safety features. For each wristband sold, $10 goes to Laila's Gift, Zigglebee's nonprofit arm supporting disability advocacy and emergency response initiatives. Bailey also champions the LEAD Act, legislation aimed at expanding access to safety technology and training for vulnerable individuals and their caregivers.

Walmart's vibe-coding tool creator Michael Pfaffenberger joins AI startup Pydantic after growing Code Puppy to 75,000 users

Michael Pfaffenberger, creator of Walmart's AI coding tool Code Puppy, is leaving the retail giant to join AI startup Pydantic. In a memo to colleagues, Pfaffenberger said he grew Code Puppy from 1,000 users to more than 75,000 over the past year. Code Puppy helps developers write, edit, test, and manage software using natural-language instructions. Built on the Pydantic AI library, the tool now serves as many non-engineers as engineers at Walmart, from merchandisers to store managers and hourly associates. The tool can work with dozens of AI models from different suppliers, allowing users to switch between them or use several simultaneously. Walmart confirmed Pfaffenberger's departure and said the project will continue under his former team. Pydantic's chief technology officer said Pfaffenberger brings valuable experience building AI tools that coordinate multiple agents at enterprise scale.
