Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics / engineering / science, in the context of a high throughput clinical laboratory.
  • Expert understanding of genomics data: wet lab data, clinical data (both structured and unstructured), and financial / medical billing data. Deep understanding of the complex operational workflows that produce them.
  • Experience with analytics engineering or development of analytics infrastructure, including modern tools such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering professional development and growth of team members.
  • Ability to contribute technically as an expert in quantitative analysis, utilizing advanced methods for process modeling, retrospective analyses, and predictive modeling where appropriate.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate both strategically with leadership and tactically with technical and operational team members.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Implement a strategic vision and roadmap for data capabilities and utilization across the organization.
  • Identify key measures of value for our products and drive alignment to internal business processes.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to create a shared understanding of the processes that deliver our products. Describe and quantitate improvement opportunities in those workflows via key metrics and user-friendly dashboards.
  • Build out a process and reinforce a culture where key metrics are monitored and acted upon, strategically and with urgency.
  • Support a team of data analysts and scientists, fostering and utilizing the expertise of each individual while facilitating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence across the team.
