About the Role:
You will work with various editors on a variety of stories—reporting and writing breaking news—on business and economic topics. You will report to an Assistant Managing Editor who is based in New York.
This role is hybrid, based in our New York City office.
You Will:
Report and write breaking news stories about business, finance, and the economy. Assignments will include different sectors such as technology, retail, real estate, banking, commodities, and personal finance. Story assignments may range from stock market reaction to earnings reports and everything in between
Help make Barron’s a go-to for readers looking for sharp analysis on daily news stories
Work with seasoned reporters with research and reporting on feature stories
You Have:
Completed at least two years towards your Bachelor’s degree
Some journalism or writing experience, with stories that were published either in a university publication or during a previous internship
The ability to report and write clearly, concisely, and factually in a timely manner
An interest in business journalism
The ability to communicate with editors about the progress of your stories, and to participate in the editing process
Salary: $25.00/hour
