Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Project Management/Engineering
3-4 years of experience in ecommerce and shipping industry
Knowledge of major shipping carrier operations is a must
Experience managing relationships with parcel carriers is a must
Excellent computer and data skills, most importantly in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

Establish and manage parcel carrier performance tracking and carrier performance improvement initiatives, which includes coordinating carrier quarterly reviews to hold carriers accountable
Manage Carrier Analyst that will be responsible for executing the day (i.e., solutioning missed pick-ups / drop-offs, securing additional capacity, etc)
Identify coverage or service gaps in defined carrier portfolio / network and work to evaluate prospective carriers
Identify bottlenecks in carrier package flows and partner with carriers to improve service levels
Create processes and educate internal teams to ensure continuous flow of packages through the carriers' supply chain
Identify trends in service disruptions and work with carriers to mitigate (i.e. reduce lost and damage rates)
Own pick-up / drop-off master schedules with carriers
Support ShipBob freight specialists as needed
Identify additional reporting tools and requirements needed to effectively manage carrier portfolio
Create transportation related SOPs as needed
Identify gaps in label generation/carrier selection and work with Easypost and Tech Team to reduce the number of shipments bouncing back
Support ad hoc carrier requests
Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary

Role Description:

As a Parcel Carrier Manager at ShipBob, you will be primarily responsible for managing parcel carrier relationships (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) to make sure packages are flowing through their systems and facilities in the most efficient way possible and making sure that the customers get their shipments on time. Shipping is directly related to ShipBob’s overall customer experience and you will be able to impact it positively in a meaningful way.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $65,000 - $108,000.
