Requirements
  • Health Insurance Producer License required by time of hire
  • 3+ years of experience in Long Term Care Communities
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and/or nursing community dynamics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with abilities to deliver presentations in an impactful manner
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Comfortable working in a Skilled Nursing Home and Long Term Care environment
  • Travel 50+% of the time in the assigned area
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation
  • Tuberculosis Screening Policy requires proof of Tuberculosis screening upon hire or proof of a negative screening within the last year
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with leadership and key stakeholders in Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Initiate and execute on opportunities for sales presentations, community events, and other resident activities within assigned communities to support individual and team enrollment goals
  • Collaborate with clinical teammates to optimize results
  • Promote member retention by resolving inquiries and proactively communicating with communities, clinical team, family members and current members
  • Adhere to production goals and performance standards
  • Create comprehensive reports that provide production data and measure results of growth objectives
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing group results as needed and by sharing best practices across the team
  • Maintain professional knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal and SCAN benefits by successfully completing all required training and certifications and by attending educational workshops
  • Follow all state and regulatory guidelines by adhering to sales and marketing requirements established by CMS and MIPPA and other policies and procedures implemented by Compliance Department
  • Maintain an active Health Insurance Producer License
  • Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals as a critical part of the Integrated Care Delivery Sales team
  • Travel 50+% of the time in the assigned area- Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation
