Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience leading a global sourcing organization with related experience in multiple disciplines of operations such as manufacturing, planning, logistics, engineering, product development, or quality
  • Experience managing a broad range of commodity types, including contract manufacturing
  • Exceptional organization, project management, oral and written communication, and negotiation skills
  • The ability to work in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing world-class objectives
  • Ability to influence across multiple functional teams
  • Advanced skills in Excel and experience creating, presenting, and executing on strategic business plans and operations updates
  • Strong Financial literacy with experience overseeing a P&L
  • Knowledge of: ERP / MRP systems, global trade terms and compliance
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and communicate a comprehensive strategic and operational global sourcing strategy for quip in support of immediate, short, and long term financial and operational goals - innovative and high quality product, service, margin, continuity of supply, and expansion
  • Create a high performing supply base by developing existing partners or cultivating new partnerships
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives throughout the supply base from identification/qualification through product delivery
  • Support product commercialization on time, at approved financial targets, and at approved quality and product specifications
  • Ensure calendar alignment with internal and external partners
  • Allocate product in accordance with partner capacities and capabilities, and ensures all relevant commercialization milestones are met
  • Develop and lead a high-performing sourcing team
  • Continuously reevaluate the team and align the team/process to best service the business
  • Cultivate a data driven and process oriented culture
  • Contribute to positive margin growth by identifying productivity and value engineering opportunities
  • Leverage knowledge of commodity landscape and manufacturing processes to ensure transparent costing and regionally balanced supply matrix
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization regarding strategy, risks, and opportunities
  • Identify and propose solutions for mitigating risk or improving product and process
