Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, finance or technical degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales with one to three years of experience in a sales support role
  • Two or more years of related experience in the technology industry is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, and clients.
  • Team player who is self-motivated, shows initiative, anticipates and prevents issues by executing advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills, and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment.
  • Comfortable meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong ability to operate independently
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerBI, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions. As needed, recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
  • Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
  • Accurately process customer transactions, including orders, quotes, or returns
  • Obtain information from vendors regarding shipment dates and expected date of delivery to provide accurate information about product items.
  • Increase sales and average order size by cross-selling, upselling, offering add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items.
  • Educate customers about product terminology, features, and benefits to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
  • Contact customers following sales delivery to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
  • Attend sales meetings, vendor training, and IT trade shows, or read IT trade journals to remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes, and product developments.
  • Set up and maintain customer files
  • Register sales opportunities with partners
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Escalate and resolve internal or external issues
  • Communicate problems to the team and customer
  • Build relationships with customers, partners, and Trace3 teammates
  • Provide key knowledge and guidance for teams on internal Trace3 resources, policies, and potential challenges
  • Create a thought process for opportunity and deal management
  • Build an understanding of international shipping logistics, freight forward, import of record, VAT, and non-reclaimable fees
  • Establish relationships with sourcing organizations
  • Manage and handle the stress associated with the job
  • Perform other duties as assigned
