We have an open role to join the User Experience Enablement tribe as a Senior Product Manager at Skyscanner. We are part of the enablement function and are committed to a vision of efficient, high-velocity software delivery across our product experience. We focus on products that allow web and app teams to deliver features effectively, productively, and consistently with top-flight design.
We are looking for someone with the skills to align cross-functional teams to a set of core technologies and standards that will deliver velocity and consistency at scale for Skyscanner’s user experience. This person will have a keen interest in product and an enthusiasm for solving problems of fragmentation, inconsistency, and velocity for web and application teams in the software organization.
What will this role be responsible for delivering on?
- Work closely with squads and stakeholders to drive key strategies and associated KPIs for the user experience enablement tribe.
- Gather, define, and prioritize requirements for front and back-end web technologies; design tools, layout/component libraries, api standards, etc.
- Strategic ownership and execution for horizontal web functions; design system, redirects, culture service, application parity, and other cross-tribe initiatives
- Partner and evangelize with customer teams to promote awareness and adoption of tribe initiatives
- Quarterly roadmap ownership for the user experience enablement tribe
- Dependency management and coordination of external requests between squad(s) and partner teams
What skills do we need?
- Familiarity with the common technologies, frameworks, land languages, of web/app development; JS, typescript, angular, react, HTML, CSS, Swift, etc.
- Understanding of common approaches to web analytics and tracking; instrumentation and integration; GA, Amplitude, Mixpanel
- General understanding of build systems, CI/CD pipelines and concepts of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Strong understanding of various approaches to agile software delivery and the software delivery lifecycle; agile, Kanban, velocity measurement
- Understanding of design systems and their composition; libraries, layouts, colour, components, typography, assets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to transform priorities into requirements and roadmaps with a focus on customer problems

Where can this role be based?
This role can be based from either of our Scottish Offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
