As a summer intern working within the Recording Sub-Systems (RSS) Firmware organization, you will be working within a technical team responsible for developing firmware features that support the RSS goal of increasing drive capacity while maintaining or improving reliability performance and cost. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create documentation for firmware design, implementation, and testing failure analysis
• Perform data analysis and provide recommendations/solutions
• Support Python & C/C++ tools
• Failure Analysis of HDD using supporting tools
• Initially be trained by Sr. Engineer; Eventually take over some responsibilities of coding & FA

Qualifications

Eligibility:

• Current student, pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field graduating between December 2024 and June 2025
• Must be available to work full-time onsite Monday – Friday for 3 months between June 2024 – September 2024 in our Irvine, CA office 

Qualifications:    

• Good understanding of C/C++, Python, MATLAB
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in data storage industry
• Excellent problem solving abilities
