Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in materials, inventory, or logistics operations, including experience standing up new processes or facilities, and at least 2 years leading a team.
  • Ability to build inventory, receiving, and shipping operations from the ground up in a greenfield, startup, or new-facility environment.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and/or administering an enterprise resource planning or materials requirements planning system for inventory and materials management.
  • Demonstrated success managing inventory accuracy, receiving, and shipping in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience building and managing a team.
  • Ability to work effectively both at a desk and on the factory floor, with the organizational discipline to keep a fast-moving factory supplied.
  • Ability to collaborate and consider downstream impacts on production, quality, and suppliers when making decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end inventory management, including accuracy, cycle counts, stocking strategy, minimum and maximum levels, and reconciliation across the factory.
  • Manage receiving operations, including inspection, documentation, putaway, and discrepancy resolution with suppliers.
  • Manage shipping operations, including outbound logistics, carrier coordination, packaging standards, and on-time fulfillment.
  • Direct the movement of materials through the factory to ensure production lines and work cells are supplied without interruption.
  • Build inventory, receiving, and shipping processes from scratch, including workflows, layouts, labeling, and standard operating procedures.
  • Implement and administer the enterprise resource planning system for materials and inventory, including the item master, bills of materials, transactions, and reporting.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators for inventory accuracy, on-time receiving and shipping, stockouts, and cycle time, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Hire, train, and lead the materials and warehouse team as the operation scales.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering to align material flow with build schedules and demand.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in robotics, hardware, electronics, or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience selecting and rolling out an enterprise resource planning system, not just operating an existing one.
  • Familiarity with lean, 5S, Kanban, Six Sigma, or similar continuous-improvement methodologies.
  • Experience scaling materials operations from low-rate to high-volume production.

Foundry Robotics develops AI-driven robotic systems and software for industrial manufacturing, focusing on electromechanical assembly. It combines robots, machine learning models, and a software-defined factory architecture where data and feedback continuously improve performance in high-throughput, high-mix environments. It distinguishes itself by targeting assembly automation rather than fabrication or consumer robots, emphasizing AI-first manufacturing, data integration, and programmable processes for observable, adaptable factories (including defense manufacturing). Its goal is to increase efficiency, adaptability, and scalability of industrial operations by making production programmable and data-driven.
