  • Manage and oversee a team of accountants - providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining data accuracy and completeness
  • Oversee junior accountants in booking journal entries, account for nonrecurring events, and coach them as they take on more complex tasks such as month-end adjustments and reconciliations
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure both accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices
  • Provide insight and assist in implementing additional internal controls and processes
  • Develop and maintain standardized working paper templates to improve the flow of information while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness in financial reporting
  • Identify possible weaknesses and support implementation of systems/processes to close any process gaps in conjunction with the financial policies of the company and ASPE
  • Own the AP and OPEX reporting process, including review of accounting policies and month-end close
  • Perform annual, monthly, and quarterly trend, ratio, aged payables analyses, as well as month-over-month variance analyses of AP and related operating expenses
  • Prepare month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, researching issues and resolving discrepancies
  • Own monthly close reporting for AP and OPEX accounting and drive any ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding and documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to vendor invoices and payments
  • Prepare and analyze AP and OPEX reports to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements
  • Participate in projects that improve the accounting close cycle and/or support business decision making
  • Provide external audit support during year-end close

  • Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365) or other cloud-based accounting software
  • Experience with Google G-Suite products
  • Working towards a CPA designation or other designations
