Requirements
  • Eight years of professional experience involving the review, analysis, and evaluation of budget, organization, administrative practices, operational methods, management operations, or data processing applications, including responsibility for recommending, planning, and/or implementing improvements in a business or government agency; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Alternatively, possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of the specified professional experience.
  • Alternatively, possession of a Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting and three years of the specified professional experience.
  • U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university, and foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date.
  • A New Jersey driver's license is required only if operating a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties.
  • Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and work activities.
  • Prepare and sign official performance evaluations for subordinate staff.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical and administrative support to the Community and Local Government Support Office and the Youth Inclusion Initiative grant program.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of program operations, fiscal processes, and administrative procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Support grant administration activities.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to advance environmental justice goals.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate department administrative procedures, organization, and performance.
  • Prepare recommendations for changes and revisions to administrative procedures, organization, and performance.
