Telpark refinances debt with $610M bond issue to fund growth opportunities

Telpark has successfully issued €540 million in senior secured bonds with a five-year maturity and 4.75% coupon to refinance its existing debt. The transaction will allow the urban mobility company to repurchase its fixed-rate bonds originally issued in January 2020, which were due in 2028, for a notional amount of €475 million. The funds will cover transaction costs, repay its revolving credit facility and maintain cash reserves for future inorganic growth opportunities. Telpark executed the bond acquisition below par, generating a gain. CFO Íñigo Duque said the operation reflects market confidence in the company and optimises its financial structure to support continued growth in Iberian urban mobility. J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley served as global coordinators, with BNP Paribas and Bank of America participating in the placement.
