Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in FIX Connectivity Engineering or a similar systems analysis role, with a deep understanding of the FIX protocol.
  • Solid understanding of electronic trading, market access, and financial markets.
  • Familiarity with Windows and UNIX/Linux environments, PostgreSQL and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficient in an object oriented programming language, preferable .NET/C#.
  • Proven experience with FIX client onboarding and certification for various asset classes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address complex connectivity and trading issues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate across teams, and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the onboarding and certification process for new clients, ensuring smooth FIX session connectivity with Cboe's systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to FIX sessions and trading-related connectivity, working closely with external clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Provide second-line support for all FIX connectivity-related issues, escalating and coordinating with internal technical teams as needed.
  • Work closely with business units, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal integration of client connectivity with order flow processes.
  • Maintain high standards of operational excellence by monitoring and improving the performance, reliability, and security of the FIX gateway.
