Requirements
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California.
  • Hold a current state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Be CPR certified.
  • Have a valid driver's license and the minimum state-required liability auto insurance.
  • Be willing and able to drive locally to patient homes and facilities.
  • No prior experience is required; extensive training is provided.
Responsibilities
  • Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat patients.
  • Perform wound-care procedures as necessary and appropriate for each plan of care.
  • Define and document patient diagnoses.
  • Ensure that patients are satisfied with their care.
  • Provide patient education and management.
  • Safely debride wounds using various methods during patient visits.
  • Apply topical wound-care and other wound-management products.
  • Record findings and treatment courses in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
