Requirements
  • Proven track record of SEO & content management experience across highly competitive B2B/SaaS spaces
  • Deep proficiency with technical aspects of SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, keyword analysis, CMS, content optimization, URL structures, page markup & schemas, search engine spiders, indexes and algorithms, website session management, and other impacting factors
  • Expertise & hands-on experience with common industry tools (SEO, analytics platforms, BI tools), including Ahrefs, SEMrush, STAT Analytics, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Amplitude, speed monitoring tools, CMS, Looker, Tableau, etc
  • Robust CRO experience with a solid understanding of A/B and multivariate experimentation
  • T-shaped marketer with a holistic understanding of other marketing disciplines and relevant channel interplays (email, SEM, social, PR, brand, etc.)
  • Strong communicator with an ability to dive into technical details but also distill complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where pivots in priorities may be necessary
  • Strong relationship management skills - able to build consensus among multiple stakeholders and influence cross-functional alignment on compelling initiatives, enhancements, and/or technical optimizations
Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the strategy, execution, and measurement of key SEO initiatives with a focus on acquisition and activation of our best-fit users
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams both within & outside of marketing to ensure SEO efforts and best practices are embedded throughout the organization
  • Establish systems, processes, and automations to advance SEO practices, and marketing analytics and operations pertaining to SEO
  • Manage a prioritized roadmap of on-page & off-page SEO tactics, including but not limited to: technical SEO audits & optimizations, keyword research & ranking strategies, content development & management, competitive market analysis, structured data, backlink program with our partners, and technical auditing, among others
  • Analyze log files, crawl records, and web analytics data to identify opportunities
  • Manage SEO marketing tech stack & onboard tools as necessary
  • Partner with the Content team to develop and measure SEO-driven content initiatives to increase organic traffic & conversions (including keyword research, content audits, SERP analysis, crawling, indexing, link building, etc.)
  • Prioritize a continuous backlog of CRO experiments against key business objectives. Moves quickly in developing hypotheses, running testing/pilots, applying learnings, and making decisions even when data sets may be imperfect or incomplete. Keeps stakeholders informed along the way
  • Work closely with Marketing, Biz Ops, and Data Eng to define SEO success metrics to track, measure, and optimize performance against business targets. Develop relevant measurement frameworks to capture measurement across multiple customer touch points
  • Complete ownership of SEO reporting, data, and measurement, including:
  • Providing forecasts & performance results against defined SEO KPIs and metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence
  • Regular updates on keyword performance and growth, backlink/outreach performance, optimized page performance, ranking; etc
  • Presenting performance results, insights, and actionable recommendations to upper management and other stakeholders in accessible ways
  • Partner with front-end development and other engineering teams to provide technical SEO guidance and deliver on public-facing web pages, applications, tools, and calculators developed that will drive traffic
  • Contribute to ASO experimentation, optimizations, and analyses (e.g., competitor analysis, keyword research, listing analysis, etc.)
  • Advocates for SEO across the organization. Regularly shares findings and lessons, and helps others grow
  • Stays up-to-date on industry trends/patterns, algorithm updates, and best practices
