Requirements
  • Expertise as a leader taking projects from early-stage prototyping to scaled manufacturing
  • Deep industry expertise with relevant technologies such as: micromachining, micro/ nanofabrication, electroplating, deposition, polishing, and cryogenic techniques, as well as associated metrology
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials and their qualities ranging from common metals to cryogenic deposition of gases
  • Experience developing products for an industry with relevant engineering challenges: semiconductor, optics, precision manufacturing, MEMS, computer chips, etc
  • Able to translate never-before-acheived requirements into delivered solutions
Responsibilities
  • Own the production of our targets and work closely with the R&D team to translate design requirements into built targets within a matter of weeks
  • Design and build a team team of technicians, engineers, and scientists that has the expertise and tooling equipment required to fabricate targets using a variety of modern precision metal machining and metrology approaches
  • Ensure down to the smallest details that our targets can be precision-machined at the micron and nanometer scale, with commensurate tolerances
  • Understand the qualities and scalability of a variety of metals and materials that could be used in target production
  • Scale up a nimble and efficient production process that will allow our team to deliver targets quickly, consistently, and cost-effectively for our demonstration system and future commercial system
