Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of experience using mechanical and/or electronic hand tools
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment
  • Occupational trade school qualification in an electrical based field
  • Demonstrable hands-on skill in fault finding and problem resolution
  • Experience fabricating or inspecting wire harness and cable assemblies
  • Experience in the aerospace or Automotive industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
  • Proficient with computers and the ability to use MS Office
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Able to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
  • Willing to travel; position is based in Hawthorne, CA, however work at other SpaceX facilities for similar work may be required
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
