Responsibilities

DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness—so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We’re looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools—and get them into the hands of those who need them most. 

As a DevOps engineer at EverWatch, you’ll streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. Qualifications

You Have:    

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Integrator or DevOps engineer
• Experience with Linux CLI
• Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, and Ansible
• Experience with trouble-shooting large Linux Clusters
• Experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience using Git for version control
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED and 13+ years of experience as a software engineer, software integrator or devops engineer, or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, software integrator or devops engineer

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications
• Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $91.35 to $98.56 per hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch’s total compensation package for employees.
