Requirements
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a health and safety management role within a corporate or industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws, regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing safety management systems and programs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to deliver training and present to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar occupational health and safety management standards (preferred)
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, or industrial sectors (preferred)
  • Knowledge of emergency response planning and business continuity procedures (preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence safety culture at all organizational levels
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with UAE labor laws and international safety standards
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace dangers and recommend appropriate control measures
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain detailed safety documentation, records, and reports; ensure accurate reporting to regulatory authorities as required
  • Organize and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, including induction, toolbox talks, and specialized safety courses
  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to integrate safety requirements into daily operations and project planning
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and evacuation procedures; coordinate drills and training exercises
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and key performance indicators; prepare reports for management review
  • Stay current with changes in health and safety regulations and industry best practices; update policies accordingly
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external safety consultants
