Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in test development
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, PHP and/or JQuery
  • Strong understanding of testing practices in an agile environment
  • Experience with Webriverio and/or Playwright
  • Experience with any of the following is an asset:
  • Experience with contract testing (PACT preferable)
  • Understanding of testing Library family of packages
  • Understanding of Micro front end architectures
  • PHP content management systems
  • Network principles and protocols such as HTTP, TLS and TCP
  • Web services technology such as REST, JSON or Thrift
  • Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins
Responsibilities
  • As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) you will be part of a small, highly focused team responsible for moving two public facing content managed websites on-premise and bringing the engineering standards to professional levels. The team will compromise a senior and intermediate developer (being hired now), and you will collaborate with them, and relevant DevOps teams. You will work in code and configurable systems to building test for a new tech stack that will replace a current high availability external host. It will include building tests for the automated pipelines that will test PHP and JS/React systems, scan code, check APIs, systems integrations as well as and front-end functionality including up-time checks
  • You will be instrumental in the construction of your team's automation frameworks and coverage, under the guidance of a Senior Developer and other SDETs in the organisation, to attain industry leading test practices. You will support the team's testing efforts to ensure quality of coverage, quality of code and quality of delivery
