Senior System Validation Engineer @ Electric Hydrogen

We are looking for a System Validation Engineer to join our team. You will ensure plant requirements are verified and validated prior to deployment. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders including fluid system, power conversion, controls, electrolysis, and test engineering teams.

You will be based between the San Carlos, CA and San Jose facilities and can work on a hybrid basis. customer and other company sites. You will report to the Manager, Systems Engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities

Analyzing test data to verify plant-level requirements and validate model predictions
Defining test plans to verify plant functional, performance and behavior requirements
Develop validation plans to ensure successful customer integration
Translating sub-scale test results to product scale learnings
Write test reports and trace test artifacts to requirements
Oversee acceptance testing at customer sites
Work with engineering teams to define equipment manufacturing acceptance testing
Work with test engineers to drive test stand / pilot plant capabilities and instrumentation changes

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, or other role with exposure to testing and/or integration
Experience with data analysis and visualization in Python
Experience with writing test plans and reports
Experience developing first-principles models for fluid and/or power systems
Hands on experience with fluid and/or power system sensors
Experience with process controls and operations
Experience working with P&ID diagrams

San Carlos Zone

$164,000—$220,000 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
