Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required.
  • Travel might be required between offices.
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications and patient insurances is required.

  • Patient advocate with flexible, adaptive, empathetic, ethical approach.

  • Financial acumen including understanding profit drivers, using metrics to manage, and understanding local market drivers and competition; ability to build financial understanding of team members, staff and clinicians.

Responsibilities
  • Models company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gains a financial commitment from the patient to start the dentistry that the Dentist is diagnosing for their patient.
  • Achieves proficiency in the Practice Management System and tools and uses these skills to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their unique wants and needs.
  • Executes the Healthcare Coordinator handoff in partnership with each clinician on every exam patient.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on all available financial options to provide patients choices that fit in their budget.
  • Proactively overcomes common patient objections to starting treatment.
  • Obtains necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to completing treatment.
  • Ensures the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model within the offices as well as referrals outside the office.
  • Is an active participant in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and any other required meetings.
  • Maintains an understanding of business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics and results.
  • Demonstrates stewardship of the Practice Management System Brand by making decisions consistent with the Brand framework.
  • Becomes knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and supports clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies; addresses others professionally and respectfully at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with Company policies and with State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business.
