Do you want to do so in a multicultural company and team where being a people person and team player is alfa and omega?
If so, then the Ford US team at Wunderman Thompson MAP could be something for you! We are looking for a person with excellent client and project management skills who’s curious and eager to dive deep into projects.
What will your day look like?
As a Project Manager in the Ford US Client Service team, you report to the Client Lead. The main purpose of this role is to support and manage day-to-day tasks briefed by the Client Lead and the Transformation Lead.
In your role, you are expected to take full ownership of the tasks you manage. This means you are responsible for ushering deliveries through, from the moment you receive the brief until your task or project is delivered.
This includes responsibilities such as:
- Understanding the brief
- Building estimates and project plans with input from the team
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders in leading the project
- Monitoring hours and spendings in Workbook
- Flagging risks or scope creeps
To do so, it is crucial that you take the time to understand the processes, systems, and activities needed to fulfill your assignments. You are also the key contact person for client stakeholders involved in the project. Therefore, delivering a high level of service and quality to the client is always a key priority.
Who are you going to work with?
You will be a part of a team with highly skilled and competent teammates who will go the extra mile to help one another. As an organization we love to develop, challenge, and grow the talents out of our people and many of our people have been at the agency a decade or longer.
In your everyday job, the Client Lead, Strategy Consultant, Transformation Lead, Program Director, and the Program Manager are all people you can go to if you have questions, doubts or need sparring on your tasks. The Client Lead will also have regular one-on-one meetings with you to discuss how things are going, performance, career, and competence development plans.
What do you bring to the table?
You are a true team player and great at building relationships where you utilize your positive attitude and service-minded approach to other people. As you will be managing several projects simultaneously, it’s crucial that you can not only balance your time, but also keep calm, composed, and proactive while finding solutions to complex situations or problems – even in times of stressful situations.
A big part of your job is also to communicate complex topics in a clear and understandable manner which is why you need to have great communication and presentation skills as well.
In addition, you have:
- Project management experience.
- Deep understanding of CRM Technology – particularly SFMC and Adobe.
- Deep understanding of how data, technology, experience, and operations must move in concert to help the client deliver world-class one-to-one marketing communications.
- Experience with Jira and/or Smartsheet is an advantage.
- Strong skills within Microsoft Office 360
How do you succeed in this job?
This specific role is nothing like your traditional project manager. To really cut to the bone your most important responsibility will be to manage the tasks and projects according to the agreed project plans while maintaining a good and healthy relationship with the client and your colleagues.
To succeed in this job, your area of responsibility includes (but are not limited to):
- Receiving and understanding briefs and their objectives, ensuring alignment around expectations and definition
- Creating project plans with detailed timings with input from a broader team where needed
- Be overall responsible for creating client-friendly presentations as well as presenting them in meetings – internal and external.
- Establish and grow a strong relationship with your client stakeholders.
- Attend client and/or internal meetings, take meeting notes, and make clear action points.
- Support the Client Lead with any estimation tasks.
- Support the Program Manager in finalizing the mid-month and end-of-month finance reports.
- Ensure you stay up to date on any process or tool updates and take ownership of your own learning of processes and tools being used on the account.
- Continuously look for process optimizations and report to your Workstream Lead and the Business Architect team if you have ideas for improvements.
