Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years in SEO, organic growth, or digital marketing, with at least 3 years leading a team and owning strategy and budget at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or technology company.
  • Pipeline orientation: You connect organic channels to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes, not just traffic and rankings. You think in SQLs, activation rates, and CAC efficiency.
  • Technical SEO depth: You can read crawl logs, diagnose Core Web Vitals issues, direct schema implementations, and partner credibly with engineers on site architecture decisions.
  • AI visibility fluency: You’ve actively experimented with citation strategies, structured content for model consumption, or measured share of voice in answer engines.
  • Content instincts: You can tell the difference between content that earns trust and content that fills a page. You have experience building or managing content operations at scale with high editorial standards.
  • Vendor management judgment: You’ve managed agencies and know how to hold them to outcomes, not just deliverables. You also know when to stop outsourcing and bring work in-house.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: You make consequential decisions with incomplete data. You like building a function from scratch more than running one that’s already humming.
  • Experimentation mindset: You treat failure as a feedback loop. You run experiments, kill what doesn’t work quickly, and double down on what does.
Responsibilities
  • Set the organic growth strategy and own the roadmap, OKRs, and budget. You’re accountable for how Brex shows up organically.
  • Build Brex’s AEO/GEO playbook. Own how Brex shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews: citation strategy, content structured for model retrieval, and the tracking to tell us what’s moving.
  • Co-own the technical SEO roadmap with web engineering: site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, crawl, page performance. Translate SEO needs into specs engineers can ship.
  • Run content strategy and production for organic. Set the editorial bar, own the calendar, and build a production process that doesn’t bottleneck on you.
  • Unify our presence across Reddit, G2, YouTube, and other community and review surfaces into one discoverability strategy instead of a collection of side projects.
  • Get sales and partnerships up to speed on how organic and AI search are changing, and what that means when they’re in a competitive deal.
  • Be a culture carrier for the Growth Marketing team. Model the AI-native, high-ownership way of working we're building toward.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bonus points: You’ve navigated a major Google algorithm update that materially impacted your business and can walk through how you diagnosed, adapted, and recovered.
  • You understand how retrieval-augmented generation systems select and rank sources, and you can translate that into actionable content and structural strategy.
  • You use AI and automation tools in your own workflows. You’re a practitioner, not just a strategist.
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive industry.

Capital One launches standalone travel app, brings tech in-house.

Capital One launches standalone travel app, brings tech in-house. Capital One has launched a standalone mobile application for its travel platform, allowing cardholders to book travel, redeem rewards and track trips in real time, including airport lounge capacity and waitlist updates. The app provides a travel-specific mobile channel separate from the company's core banking functionality. The existing web version of Capital One Travel will continue to be available. The service was originally developed in partnership with Hopper Technology Solutions (formerly Hopper Cloud). Capital One was a key investor in Hopper's B2B initiative, launched in 2021, as well as its first client. With the launch of the mobile app, that relationship is set to enter a new phase. "We now are evolving our relationship with Hopper by bringing in-house the technology, talent and key capabilities we've built together over the last four years," Capital One said in a statement to PhocusWire. "These capabilities include licenses, servicing contracts and supplier relationships." Moving the technology in-house will enable "deeper personalization, tighter integration across planning and in-transit moments and a more seamless end-to-end travel experience," Capital One said. The company does not have plans to acquire Hopper and continues to be an investor. In the Capital One Travel mobile app, eligible cardholders can book flights, hotels, rental cars, vacation rentals and activities and redeem rewards during checkout. A journey-aware interface adapts as the trip progresses. Once a trip begins, the app surfaces real-time travel information, including flight alerts, gate changes and nearby airport amenities. In the case of delays or disruption, users can access self-service tools or tap to call for assistance. The app also shows real-time capacity and estimated wait times at Capital One lounges, allowing eligible travelers to join digital waitlists. Capital One Travel is part of a broader push by financial services companies to build travel platforms tied to rewards credit cards and loyalty programs. Capital One has made several investments and acquisitions in recent years as it built out its travel business, most recently fintech platform Brex. The company has said previously it plans to integrate Brex's spend management platform into Capital One Travel to help grow business travel revenue.
