Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of industry experience in an Engineering role with 3 years in the Cable Harness or Interconnect design field
  • Understanding of cable/connector tests, basic metallurgy, solid mechanics, material selection, connector selection, crimp & crimp quality, experience with standards & regulations, interference/shielding/grounding considerations, thermal design, wire gauge selection, ability to optimize electrical harness wire designs, experience with regulated consumer or industrial products, working knowledge of injection molding, CNC machining, and mass production processes, proficiency in CAD
  • Ability to learn quickly, operate outside of comfort zone, self-starter, comfortable driving multiple parts of product design process simultaneously
Responsibilities
  • Execution from architecture to mass production
  • Design, prototype, and refine solutions to engineering challenges
  • Interfacing with global suppliers for efficient design execution
  • Identifying design opportunities for quality, cost, assembly, and manufacturing
  • Production tooling development and monitoring
  • Root cause and failure analysis on parts and products
