  • Familiarity with commercial insurance product lines and alternative risk financing structures.
  • Advanced competency in loss run analysis, financial statement interpretation, cash flow modeling, pricing mechanics, and exposure quantification.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply, with strong presentation and report-writing skills and negotiation ability.
  • Ability to manage difficult client conversations and deliver value under pressure.
  • Ability to translate client needs into profitable, market-appropriate solutions and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional resources, manage stakeholders at varying seniority levels, prioritize competing demands, and manage escalations.
  • Activities must comply with company policies, professional standards, regulatory requirements, and transparency obligations.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate client operations, exposures, and enterprise-wide risk profiles using loss runs, cash flow analyses, financial statements, and other third-party data.
  • Develop and quantify alternative risk financing, insurance placement, and risk mitigation strategies, and model the short- and long-term financial impacts of options.
  • Translate technical analytics into clear, actionable recommendations and decision support for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary or escalation client contact and respond to complex client needs, inquiries, and claims-related questions.
  • Build and sustain client and broker relationships through strategic reviews, performance reporting, and proactive communication.
  • Anticipate client business changes and recommend contractual or programmatic adjustments to preserve coverage and minimize cost.
  • Support and execute account growth strategies with senior Account Executives and producers to retain existing business and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Manage contract reviews, midterm policy endorsements, renewals, and requests for proposal responses; prepare client-facing proposals and presentations.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities, develop value propositions, and support negotiations to contribute to sales targets.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, claims, actuarial, legal, compliance, and specialty teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Oversee delivery timelines, deliverables, and documentation to ensure high-quality implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Leverage internal analytics and third-party tools, escalating complex issues to senior colleagues when specialized technical or market intervention is required.
  • Maintain knowledge of market conditions, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices affecting client programs.
  • Document recommendations and decisions with appropriate rationale.
  • Identify process improvements, tool enhancements, and training needs to increase team effectiveness and client outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management, or Associate in Reinsurance, or progress toward industry-recognized certifications.
