Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business and or engineering related field from a credited university.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business development, strategy development, capture leadership, program management and/or similar industry experience
  • 5+ years of team leadership/management experience
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required
  • Knowledge of DoD requirements, budgeting, and acquisition processes
  • Experience executing defense industry international business development experience.
  • Foreign Military Sales/Direct Customer Sales experience
  • Must be able to travel both domestic and international as needed (up to 40% of the time)
Responsibilities
  • Develop/manage the long-range opportunity pipeline to support the AOP/LRSP process.
  • Support MEP BU VP customer engagements/cadence, working with Government Relations.
  • Support MEP BU Operating Unit market-segment research, strategy development and captures.
  • Support capture managers on various pursuits - Proposal Preparation Support, Review and Approval Process and with strategies that result in high capture rates that support growth objectives.
  • Support Business Strategy Team (BST) efforts across NGC.
  • Lead staff on conduct market, customer, and competitor assessments to support MEP BU growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with Division/Sector BD counterparts on initiatives/actions to meet objectives.
  • Serve as a focal point for responding to Sector/Division business development actions with high quality inputs reflecting the MEP BU business.
  • Participate in the development and execution of global and regional strategies that includes multi-year sales and marketing plans for key programs that will support sector financial goals.
  • Engage customers to identify needs/solutions, budgets, timelines, and competitor capability.
  • Lead customer relationship development for programs for domestic and international customer set.
  • Leverage relationships and product capabilities knowledge to create sub-systems and/or product value proposition to customers.
  • Leverage technical, analytical, and operational expertise from across the division in support of impactful growth opportunities.
  • Act as focal point for trade shows, conferences, global customer visits to the US.
  • Supervise with business development teams within operational units in a collaborative manner that achieves long-term growth objectives while continuing to grow the existing business.
  • Follow the process standards of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP) with responsibility for entries and updates for all opportunities in the in Phases 1-3: Qualify (1), Pursue (2), Solution (3).
  • Create, update, and maintain Salesforce records to support internal reporting, gate reviews, and portfolio analysis.
