Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud migration, virtualization, and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency in VMware Cloud Director and Azure VMware Services.
  • Experience with Zerto Site Recovery for data replication and disaster recovery.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, data migration techniques, and security standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the existing VMware Cloud Director environment to determine migration feasibility and identify potential challenges.
  • Create a comprehensive migration strategy, including system design, architecture, and security considerations.
  • Lead the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from VMware Cloud Director to Azure VMware Services using Zerto Site Recovery.
  • Track and report on the progress of the migration, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after the migration process.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise post-migration.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for optimization and cost savings in the new cloud environment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, including procedures, configurations, and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certifications in VMware and Azure technologies.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with network and storage technologies.
