Job Description

The qualified individual will make significant contributions to the development of world-class solid state flash drives (SSD). The primary responsibility of this engineer is hardware electronic design for all SSD products. We seek hardware design engineer who has solid analog/digital circuit design knowledge, a creative mind and is motivated to deliver high quality hardware solution.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Based on product and system requirements, generate configuration and circuit design for various blocks including power system, host interface controller, NAND controller and etc. This requires close interaction with both internal cross functional teams as well as external vendors.
• Represent hardware team in program meetings.
• Perform SPICE simulation and bench evaluation to verify design prior to design release. Perform component testing, collaborate with quality engineer to qualify new components.
• Create schematic in Cadence Orcad. Provide layout guidelines. Work closely with layout team and SIPI team to optimize implementation.
• Generate design documents to internal and external teams as reference and user manual
• Perform functional checkout on new hardware. Collaborate with validation team and other teams to resolve hardware issues
• Close interaction with ASIC team, System Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Validation, Component Engineering, and etc.
• Create and update BOM in Agile to enable material team and manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering w/ 5-10 years related work experience
