The primarypurposeof the Assistant Marketing Manager – Technical SEO isto support the execution and optimizationoftechnical SEO initiativesacrossLowe’sdigitalproperties. Thisroleiscriticaltoensuringstrongsearchenginevisibilitybyaddressingsiteperformance, indexing, and technicalissuesthatimpactorganicsearchrankings.
The AMM will beresponsibleforidentifying, analyzing, and resolvingtechnical SEO issues, includingbutnotlimitedtocrawlerrors, sitemaps, schemamarkup, and brokenlinks. Thisindividual will work cross-functionallywith Product Management, UX, Site Operations, IT, and Digital Merchandisingteamstoimplementbestpractices and drivetechnicalenhancementsthatimprovesitehealth and searchperformance.
To accomplishthis, the AMM musthaveexpertiseinwebsitearchitecture, page speedoptimization, logfileanalysis, and structureddataimplementation. The rolealsoinvolvesmonitoring and reportingon SEO performance, identifyingopportunitiesforimprovement, and supporting the developmentofscalablesolutionstoenhancesearchvisibility.
Thispositionrequires a data-drivenmindset, attentiontodetail, and a strongunderstandingofsearchenginealgorithmsandrankingfactors. The idealcandidateis a problemsolverwhocancommunicatetechnicalconceptstonon-technicalstakeholdersandhelpexecutestrategiesthatimproveLowe’ssearchrankingsandorganictrafficgrowth.
What You Will Do
Leadeffortstoenhancewebsitearchitecture, internallinkingstructures, andnavigationforimprovedcrawlabilityanduserexperience.
Optimize page speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals performance to enhance search rankings and user engagement.
Implement structured data and schema markup to improve content visibility in search results and enable rich snippets.
Conduct log file analysis to identify crawl inefficiencies and provide recommendations for better search engine indexing.
Monitor sitemigrations, URL changes, andredirectstopreventnegative SEO impactsandensurecontinuityofrankings.
Research and implement automation techniques for technical SEO tasks to increase efficiency and scalability.
Collaboratewithengineeringteamstoensure SEO requirementsareembeddedinwebsitedevelopmentandplatformupdates.
Track andreportonkey SEO performancemetrics, providinginsightsandrecommendationsforimprovement.
Stay up to date with algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging SEO technologies to continuously refine technical SEO strategies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing or relevant field
4+ years of Search Engine Optimization experience
4 years' experience with search engine optimization tools such asBotify, Semrush, seoClarity, Google Adwords, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
Priorexperiencecoordinating and managingteams
Experience presentinginlargeforums and to C- executive management
4 years + experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or GoogleAnalytics
Preferred Qualifications
SEO experienceforlargeretailbusiness
3 years' experienceinpaidsearch
