Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the Plumbing Design field
  • Experience with the latest version of AutoCAD-MEP, and REVIT
  • 3+ year supervisory, Project Manager
  • A working knowledge of the various applications of fire suppression systems gained through both formal training and project experience
  • Knowledge of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings / documents
  • Detailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections independently
  • Ability to independently perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support the design and estimate construction costs and evaluate the feasibility of construction
  • Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) Certification, highly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Work on a variety of projects, from small to large, providing plumbing design
  • Represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members
  • Provide consulting services, including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports
  • Oversee the production of drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
  • Conduct due diligence reports that comply with group and company standards and procedures
  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
  • Preparation of proposals and administering project contracts between SHG and the client, including Add Service Agreements
  • Conduct business development activities, participating in various trade organizations, and preparing presentations
  • Establish project budgets and schedules
  • Participate in QA/QC process of completed work by staff
  • Perform staff resource management and review
