What you’ll do
Work with internal colleagues and external clients to analyze and clearly understand client requirements in order to prepare the Payroll and Billing requirements documents used in the configuration of the Retirement and Benefits Administration system (Ariel)
Work closely with the Solution Architect and Product teams, as needed, on the overall solution definition; the process of integrating available tools and resources to deliver solutions within appropriate parameters and that leverage TELUS Health’s capabilities and offer high stakeholder value
Deliver innovative business consulting relevant to TELUS Health’s products and services, explaining the rationale behind choices and making modifications to the solution when required
Perform business process design and make recommendations on systems integration
Proactively recommend options, risk vs. cost, benefits and other impacts on solution decisions to management
In constructing the ideal solution, collaborate with internal teams to investigate procedural and technology options, while balancing TELUS Health’s overall ability to deliver
Produce detailed functional specifications used by clients, business partners and development teams related to the implementation and/or configuration of our integrated benefits solution
Oversee the successful, timely implementation and configuration of the Payroll module and Billing module
Establish the scope and criteria for testing and work closely with the quality assurance team during execution
Work closely with the Implementation Manager and Training team to ensure all stakeholders, internal and external, are educated on the use of the Ariel systems Finance Module
Follow up with the various stakeholders regarding any changes made during the course of the implementation
Build knowledge of industry topics and trends through internal training, external training and self-study, as appropriate
What you bring
7+ years of experience in benefits administration or related work experience in business requirements analysis for HR/payroll/general ledger or other technology-intensive environment
Strong understanding of Payroll and Billing processing
Strong SQL knowledge, plus proficiency in at least one coding language is required.

TELUS has announced the pricing of $1.6 billion in fixed-to-fixed rate junior subordinated notes through a syndicate of agents. These notes, issued in two series with a 30.25-year maturity, are intended to help the company repay outstanding debts and support general corporate purposes.
