Requirements
  • A high school diploma and equivalent years of experience.
  • One to three years of experience in a financial branch environment, or comparable experience within the financial industry or a retail sales environment.
  • Experience with the loan application process and standard or typical internal operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and Credit Union lending and member service policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply financial information, including credit scores, debt, assets, balances, payments, and interest rates, and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios.
  • Ability to gather and apply relevant data to research and resolve issues using analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to pass a background check including credit, drug screen, bondability, and criminal background checks.
  • Ability to communicate with members and others at all levels of the Credit Union in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to provide coverage at other branches when necessary and work a Saturday rotation schedule.
  • Ability to comply with SAFE Act requirements and keep NMLS registration current for lending responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform the essential job duties, communicate face to face or through technology, work in an office environment, and lift or push up to 10 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver service through in-person, telephone, and digital member interactions.
  • Build and strengthen member relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Open consumer and business membership accounts.
  • Assist members with account maintenance, problem resolution, and service requests.
  • Process and support consumer loan applications and related documentation.
  • Conduct consultative conversations to identify deposit, lending, and relationship-growth opportunities.
  • Maintain timely member follow-up and document member interactions in designated systems.
  • Promote Credit Union products and services through referrals, education, and relationship management.
  • Support branch service, production, and member-experience goals.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and account maintenance transactions.
  • Maintain accurate balancing records and perform vault, ATM, branch-capture, balancing, and reconciliation activities.
  • Use branch technology, systems, and equipment.
  • Process operational exceptions and authorized overrides within delegated authority limits.
  • Support branch readiness, operational compliance, and audit preparedness.
  • Follow Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a peer mentor and operational resource for branch employees.
  • Support onboarding activities for newly hired Universal Bankers.
  • Reinforce service standards, sales practices, operational procedures, and member-engagement expectations.
  • Assist with training, knowledge sharing, and skill development activities.
  • Collaborate with the Universal Banker Manager to identify development opportunities and operational challenges.
  • Maintain individual production goals related to memberships, deposits, lending, referrals, debit activation, and other performance measures.
  • Generate referrals and member relationship opportunities.
  • Support branch business-development and community-engagement activities.
  • Support member traffic flow, phone coverage, appointment support, and branch execution.
  • Rotate between transaction, office, lending, and service responsibilities according to member and branch needs.
  • Provide branch coverage at other locations as needed.
  • Support the Universal Banker Manager by reinforcing operational expectations, service standards, and branch routines.
  • Communicate member concerns, operational issues, staffing challenges, and process-improvement opportunities to branch leadership.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable branch resource during high member demand, staffing shortages, or employee transitions.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and training support as directed by branch leadership.

Reset raises $6M seed funding from credit union customers to expand earned wage access platform

Reset, an earned wage access platform for credit unions and community banks, has raised $6 million in seed funding, bringing total capital raised to over $8 million. More than two-thirds of the round came from credit union customers, including Georgia's Own Credit Union, InTouch Credit Union, Chartway Credit Union, VyStar Credit Union and One Washington Financial. The platform embeds into financial institutions' technology stacks, allowing members to access earned wages daily through a credit union-issued card. Reset cardholders show a 27% increase in deposits, maintain checking balances 36% higher than previous levels and generate 20% more credit interchange revenue for their institutions. The company will use the funding to expand sales capacity, deepen product development and accelerate deployments. Reset was recently named to Filene Research Institute's FiLab programme and is piloting with six credit unions representing 1.2 million members.

Georgia's Own and InTouch credit unions invest $1.25M in Provision IAM's identity management platform

Provision IAM, a provider of identity and access management platforms for credit unions and community financial institutions, has secured strategic investments from two credit unions. Georgia's Own Holdings invested $1 million, whilst InTouch Credit Union invested $250,000. Representatives from both credit unions will join Provision IAM's newly established Customer Advisory Board, with Georgia's Own also participating at board level. The investments reflect growing industry focus on identity governance, audit readiness and compliance automation as operational priorities. Georgia's Own Credit Union was already using Provision IAM's platform before investing. The company's SaaS-based platform automates policy management, audit reporting and access reviews for financial institutions. Provision IAM currently supports over 50 financial institutions nationwide and is engaging with additional credit unions for its advisory board.

Jack Henry Adds Ai-Based Fraud Detection To Digital Payments Platform

Jack Henry has launched a real-time, artificial intelligence (AI)-based fraud mitigation feature. The new Payrailz Fraud Monitor, which joins the FinTech company’s Payrailz Digital Payments Platform, supports multiple payment types and detects fraud when payment transactions are initiated, Jack Henry said in a Tuesday (June 20) press release. “We’re excited to offer Fraud Monitor to our clients and empower them with a sophisticated, AI-driven feature that scores 100% of P2P [person-to-person], A2A [account-to-account] and bill payments in real time,” Jack Henry President of Payment Solutions Tede Forman said in the release. “The ability to leverage transaction attributes, user profiles and atypical behavior patterns uniquely balances the ability to immediately detect and prevent fraudulent transactions with a frictionless payments experience.”
