Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • ASE Master certification with L1 certification, or a plan to achieve it, is preferred or alternatively expected as a development plan.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
  • Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals.
  • Ability and aptitude to learn additional skills and processes.
  • Ability to use tablets, smartphones, and computers, and to provide detailed photo, video, and written inspection reports and technician findings.
  • Ability to lift or move more than 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted overhead.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces dictated by the vehicle repair.
  • Manual dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
  • Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
  • Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and technical skills.
  • Build experience servicing a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Work with a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Work closely with the service department to communicate customer concerns effectively.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Diesel experience is a plus.
  • A desire for long-term career development.
