Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Must be able to communicate on multiple-frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team.

  • Must remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Must access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Must interpret instructions, reports, and information.
  • Must accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions and oversee cash office processes as needed.
  • Must scan, handle, and move merchandise safely and efficiently, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Must climb up and down ladders as needed.
  • Must work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Must work full-time hours that may fluctuate based on business needs and are not guaranteed to total 40 hours per week.
  • Must be capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
  • Must remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, receives training on, and consistently delivers Target’s guest experience commitments and operating procedures.
  • Observe team performance, provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize strong guest experience behaviors.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action, align the team on execution, celebrate wins, and improve results.
  • Lead Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants in reducing wait times, improving guest interactions and service quality, resolving issues, driving loyalty, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Lead execution of onboarding and learning best practices and close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Use sales goals, business reporting, and guest insights to plan and execute daily and weekly workload and deliver store sales and guest engagement goals.
  • Support Target loyalty programs by ensuring the team educates guests about benefits, features, and offerings.
  • Follow up on training completion, check understanding, and support continuing education opportunities.
  • Conduct development conversations throughout key points in the team’s career path.
  • Recognize and appreciate team members to reinforce guest service behaviors and promote a positive, guest-centric culture.
  • Help lead accountability through clear expectations and performance management focused on Service and Engagement behaviors.
  • Respond to guest concerns by de-escalating situations and ensuring the team can resolve or address issues.
  • Ensure team members remain up to date on major promotions, brand launches, and events.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team as directed by the direct leader.
  • Support team members in efficiently and accurately delivering pickup and Drive-Up orders, including returns and Starbucks orders, while following applicable adult beverage laws.
  • Support guest services as needed.
  • Lead ethical conduct and compliance practices and hold team members accountable.
  • Lead safety practices by modeling safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, supporting incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model physical security processes and support the store’s security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application.
  • Follow safe and secure processes when serving as a key carrier, if applicable.
  • Occasionally assume store-level Leader on Duty responsibilities during assigned shifts.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
