Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in the design, fabrication, or examination of industrial pressure piping; or professional engineering registration or a nationally recognized equivalent with at least 5 years of such experience; or certified welding inspector status with at least 5 years of such experience; or authorization as a piping inspector under API 570 with at least 5 years of such experience.
  • A CWB Level 2 certification is preferred, with Level 1 accepted with solid experience.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract is required.
  • Ability to navigate computer programs such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Safety-focused approach to people and equipment.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with field inspections of pressure equipment, piping, and structural components during construction.
  • Support the review and validation of Inspection Test Plans, Quality Control packages, and turnover documentation for field activities.
  • Witness hydrotests, baseline inspections, and installation activities as delegated by senior inspectors.
  • Participate in field audits to verify compliance with the client's Quality Management System.
  • Compile inspection records, non-conformance reports, and data sheets for review by senior quality assurance staff.
  • Confirm that accurate documentation is in place in accordance with company practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of quality assurance activities in the field.
  • Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to field construction.
Desired Qualifications
  • A CWB Level 2 certification; a Level 1 certification may be accepted with solid experience.
